У статті розглянуто концептуальні засади та принципи підходу CDIO в контексті модернізації інженерної освіти. Проаналізовано відповідність підходів до розробки програмних результатів навчання в CDIO та засад компетентнісного підходу. Визначено напрями за якими підхід CDIO може бути упроваджений для інших спеціальностей . Увага приділена можливостям розробки міждисциплінарних освітніх програм. Окреслено підходи до впровадження CDIO при підготовці майбутніх економістів та управлінців.
